Nobu Hospitality continues European expansion with new hotel launch in Madrid

Luxury hotel and restaurant brand Nobu Hospitality has announced the opening of its fifth offering in Spain in the capital city of Madrid.

Nobu Hotel Madrid is located in the heart of the Cortes district, between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol.

The hotel will feature a three-level Nobu restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar and lounge with skyline views, and a state of the art wellness and spa area.

It marks its 11th hotel on the European continent, following establishments in London, Barcelona, ​​Ibiza, Marbella, Warsaw, and more, with others in development in Rome, San Sebastian, Santorini and Hamburg.

Nobu CEO Trevor Horwell said: “We are delighted to finally have a presence in the beautiful city of Madrid. A hotspot for art, culture and gastronomy, the Spanish capital is an important destination for us.

“This will be our fifth hotel in Spain, and we look forward to continuing to expand our presence in the country to create a memorable hotel experience for local citizens as well as our international guests.”

Studio PCH are behind the design for the new restaurant. The famous Californian architects already designed several other Nobu Hospitality properties including its famed hotel in Malibu and another one in San Sebastián, which will open in 2023.

The company is entering into a long-term agreement with Millenium Hospitality Real Estate for their latest development in Madrid.

Millenium’s CEO Javier Illán Plaza said: “I am very happy to announce our second project with Nobu Hospitality and the launch of the Nobu Hotel in Madrid. We are proud to continue our great relationship with such a thriving international luxury brand and to bring the Nobu experience to the city of Madrid, with its rooftop restaurant and bar that is sure to delight guests. local citizens and travellers.”
