ANANTARA’S TOP 10 DESTINATIONS FOR LUXURY POOL VILLAS THIS SUMMER

Anantara, the hotels, resorts and spas chain, has revealed its best swimming pool villas capturing the imagination of the luxury traveller this holiday season.

The company has hand selected the top 10 mansions offering exceptional outdoor pool facilities from all four corners of the world.

Starting in south east Asia, Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas offers beachside dining and sunset drinks amid the treehouses. Guests can choose from 91 villas spread among lush lagoons on the northern tip of the island of Phuket.

The Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort is Thailand’s second pool villa to feature on the list, offering 122 recently renovated rooms and villas with an infinity pool overlooking the sea.

Also overlooking a private stretch of beach is the Anantara Quy Nhon Villas in Vietnam which features 26 ocean view villas with private cooking classes and a cliffside jungle spa.

In Qatar, Banana Island offers 141 over water rooms and villas in a crescent of golden beach off the coast of downtown DOHA. Accessible via private catamaran, it offers the perfect escape for family adventures in an alcohol free environment.

Oman also makes Anantra‘s top 10 with its Al Baleed Resort Salalah. Nestled between a private beach and freshwater lagoon, it is the first and only luxury pool villa resort among Salalah hotels. The resort celebrates cultural treasures and features a garden walkway with lush palms and water features.

Cambodia offers the Anantara Angkor Resort which is the closest luxury hotel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat featuring 39 Khmer-style suites set around a courtyard pool.

Rising up from the sand desert on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi is the Qasr Al Sarab offering an impressive 52 pool villas. The resort invites adventure in the most luxurious of forms with camelback tours, desert dining and spa rituals.

Another desert escape to feature in the top 10 list is Tunisia‘s Anantara Sahara Tozeur Resort & Villas. The resort is described as a “luxurious gateway to the majesty of the Sahara” where guests can wake up to desert sunrises from the privacy of their own pool before driving through the Atlas Mountains to the abandoned villages of Chebika, Mides and Tamerza.

The Maldives also makes the list with the luxury resort island of Anantara Kihavah which is surrounded by nothing but turquoise lagoon. Located in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the private island features 80 beach and over water pool villas with award-winning underwater dining and the country’s only over water observatory.
