INSIDE WEST HOLLYWOOD’S REVERED MICHELIN-REFERENCED RESTAURANTS

West Hollywood is a famed reference for gastronomy in Los Angeles. Now, new innovations and openings usher in a fresh era of fine dining from Sunset Strip to Melrose Avenue.

An impressive 12 restaurants in West Hollywood have been recognised in the California Michelin Guide.

Gracias Madre is a favourite for local and international visitors and patrons. The restaurant offers traditional Mexican food prepared exclusively with vegan recipes, with ingredients that are sourced locally and organically. The Aztec-patterned bar acts as a centrepiece for the open space, bringing a rich cultural touch to the setting. Another key highlight is the outdoor patio, where guests are invited to eat guacamole and drink mezcal in the warm weather.

Another standout establishment is Pizzana on San Vicente Boulevard. The restaurant was founded after Naples-born Daniele Uditi met California socialites Chris and Caroline O’Donnell at Sunday Night Pizza Parties. The restaurant keeps the Neapolitan spirit alive and breathing, with traditional bread recipes and signature “slow dough” pizzas.

The third and final recommendation is Sushi Ginza Onodera, a world famous Japanese restaurant with two Michelin stars. It is renowned for its high-end Omakase menu, with imported fish fresh from Toyosu Fish Market in Japan. With around 20 lush dishes, Sushi Ginza Onodera is well worth the trip to the heart of West Hollywood.
