The Philippines comes out in force at ITB Berlin 2025 with its biggest private sector contingent delegation

At a colourful cocktail hosted by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles told ITB Berlin News why she feels so pleased to be back at ITB Berlin.

The Philippines is a long-time participant of ITB Berlin, now with a large private sector delegation participation.

“It is my third year at ITB Berlin, and I am thrilled to be here with a delegation of 29 private sector exhibitors—16 tour operators and destination management companies (DMCs), alongside 13 representatives from the accommodations sector. This marks the largest delegation the Philippines has ever brought to the show. Our presence is strong, as our private sector partners have consistently shared that their participation in ITB has led to significant bookings and valuable connections.”

At stand 100 in Hall 26, the Philippines shares with the world snippets of the Philippine experience through their booth that celebrates Siargao in Mindanao, live pottery demonstrations by a skilled artist from Sagada in Luzon and cultural destinations like Cebu, Iloilo and Bacolod in the Visayas.  Visitors can get the latest information on iconic destinations such as Bohol, Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, the famous Banaue Rice Terraces in the northern region of the Cordilleras and many of the country’s hidden gems.

For Nograles, the offering at ITB Berlin reflects the commitment of the Philippines Experience Programme, which is a promotional initiative to promote the heritage, culture, and the arts of the over 7,600 islands in the Philippine archipelago.
