HUTTOPIA ON THE EXPANSION TRAIL

Huttopia, operator of nature campsites since 1999, with 70 sites in Europe, North America and China, is strengthening its portfolio with the acquisition of OnlyCamp.

The company is strengthening its offering in France and its position as leader in the nature camping segment. By taking over the OnlyCamp network, previously owned by Récréa, Huttopia is adding eight camping sites in the Loire region.

The campsites are attentive to the company’s will to preserve nature along with ensuring guest comfort. They are in line with Huttopia’s philosophy of combining simplicity, comfort, conviviality and “real” camping.

Huttopia will develop the OnlyCamp network in parallel to its Huttopia and CityKamp networks. Three campsites have already been taken over in this way. Camper vans parking areas will be added to the offer.

“The takeover of OnlyCamp helps Huttopia strengthen its offer of nature-oriented camping sites in France, at a time when demand is growing, as it is seen as a green tourism activity,” said Philippe Bossanne, CEO of Huttopia.

“We are adding new products to better respond to city council requests to revitalise their old campsites. We feel in perfect harmony with OnlyCamp, a true campsite company favouring nature and authenticity. Beyond the Loire Valley, where the eight current OnlyCamp sites are located, we want to be present in all the regions of France,” added Bossanne.
