VIENNA TO BE HOME TO ROSEWOOD’S 5TH EUROPEAN HOTEL

Vienna will soon be home to another prestigious hotel when the Rosewood Vienna opens on August 1st, 2022. Set in a graceful 19th century building, Rosewood’s newest European property is located amidst the city’s finest shops and restaurants, and close to major attractions.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts was appointed by Central European financial services provider Erste Group Bank AG for the management of the Rosewood Vienna hotel in 2019.

The hotel – which will be the brand’s fifth property in Europe – will be housed in a beautifully restored, historic 19th-century building, the former headquarters of the Erste Group Bank AG

Ideally situated on Petersplatz, one of the most famous squares in Vienna’s Old Town, Rosewood Vienna will be located just steps away from the city’s most luxurious shopping and dining and its most famous historical sites.

Rosewood Vienna combines the best of European architecture and design with a refined yet modern style. The hotel offers 99 spacious guest rooms and suites, all of which feature separate spaces for entertainment and relaxation. Considered the crown jewel of Rosewood Vienna, the property’s 180 m2 Presidential Suite offers the ultimate in luxury, featuring dazzling city views, a master bedroom, a separate living room, kitchen, entertainment area, and eight-person dining room.

The contemporary rooms blend the past and present through elegant textural and artistic elements and the latest technological features. The project’s design was overseen by the London-based Alexander Waterworth Interiors firm.

Vienna’s newest five-star property

The property will feature a variety of dining and entertainment options, including a rooftop bar with exceptional city views and a vibrant restaurant with a terrace garden serving European cuisine designed to appeal to guests and locals alike.

Rosewood Vienna will also feature Sense, A Rosewood Spa, which will serve as a private sanctuary for relaxation away from the busy sights and sounds of the city with stunning views to St. Peter’s church. Additionally, the hotel will include meetings and events spaces to allow for a variety of private gatherings and conferences.

“Vienna’s rich heritage, sophisticated cultural offerings, and thriving culinary scene make it a natural fit for Rosewood’s European portfolio,” says Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotel Group. “The city’s unique blend of charm and spectacular architecture provide endless opportunities for guests to lose themselves in the culture and history that make central Europe so special, and we are excited for Rosewood Vienna to serve as a portal through which visitors can authentically experience all that the region has to offer.”
