VANCOUVER WELCOMES LAUNCH OF UNDERGROUND DONUT TOUR

Dubbed ‘the World’s Best’, the Underground Donut Tour, has launched its first Canadian experience in Vancouver.

Vancouver’s first doughnut tour has been launched by the US-based Underground Donut Tour. The company has been running tours for seven years across the US, UK, Ireland and now Canada in cities including Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, Portland, Seattle, Boston, Nashville, New Orleans, Miami, London, Dublin. It has already hosted thousands of guests from around the world and showcases the best doughnut’s each city has to offer.

“Vancouver has always been on our list of cities we wanted to open in,” explains Jeff Woelker, founder of the Underground Donut Tour. “It’s truly one of the most beautiful cities in North America and when we saw the incredible selection and styles of donuts available, everything just clicked. We’re so excited to open our first tour in Canada.”

What can customers expect from the tour?

Walking between four of the best donut shops in Vancouver’s downtown and Gastown neighbourhoods, the two-hour Underground Donut Tour shares the history of each location, along with many local sights, sounds, and tastes of the area. The tour primarily walks through historic neighbourhoods, downtown, the West End, and Coal Harbour showcasing local architecture, such as the famous Fairmont Hotel, the Olympic Cauldron and Canada Place, as well as, of course, all the amazing donut shops along the way.

Ainslee Dalzell, tour manager for the Underground Donut Tour Vancouver added: “We’re so excited to launch this tour and show off Vancouver’s natural beauty, architecture, history, and of course the donuts.”

Tours can be booked on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with more options to be introduced soon.
