Enjoy delicious French cuisine on Berlin’s riverfront

ADVERTORIAL

Ganymed Brasserie is full of French flair with an exquisite menu featuring fresh fish, oysters, shrimp and shellfish, as well as the finest filet and steaks from a lava stone grill.

Reserve a table at the Ganymed Brasserie during your visit to ITB Berlin and enjoy French delicacies at the highest culinary level. In addition to its meat from the lava stone grill, you can also enjoy traditional French dishes, fresh crustaceans and fish specialties straight from Brittany. All this can be washed down with a fine selection of red and white wines. The combination is sure to make for an unforgettable stay and a unique ambiance.

Nestled just opposite the historic Friedrichstrasse station, the restaurant is named after the figure Ganymed from Greek mythology. Customers will be spoiled with dishes such as “fine de claire” oysters, coq au vin and bœuf bourguignon. Every dish is freshly prepared and accompanied with the finest sides, also made in house by experienced chefs.

Inspired by French coffee houses and equipped with country-style furniture, the interior offers a comfy atmosphere where you can easily enjoy a specially selected wine, paired with your meal. Even for breakfast, Ganymed is a great choice: not only can guests order tasty plates like marinated salmon, croissant and crepes, but they can also enjoy this with breathtaking views of the River Spree thanks to its waterfront location in Schiffbauerdamm – the perfect start to your day.

Until 1919, the Wilhelminian style building which houses the restaurant on Schiffbauerdamm was a popular meeting place for shipbuilders. In the years that followed, the shipyards were displaced by residential and commercial buildings and a new owner established an upscale restaurant in 1931. In search of a suitable name, he decided on “Ganymed” meaning the cup-bearer of the Greek gods.
