LUFTHANSA OFFER 50+ ADDITIONAL FLIGHTS AMID EASTER DEMAND
Lufthansa has announced that it will offer more than 50 additional flights to and from Frankfurt and Munich, amid Easter demand.
As travel restrictions ease across Europe, Lufthansa is seeing a significant surge in booking demand for the Easter period. The company has claimed that the third week of February was the most successful week for the airline in the last two years, with a four-fold increase in new bookings when compared to the same week in 2021.
To capitalise on this rise in demand, Lufthansa is offering more than 50 additional flights to and from Frankfurt and Munich. Frankfurt has seen 30 additional flights, including new connections to Palma de Mallorca in Spain, Faro in Portugal and Larnaca in Cyprus. Munich will see 20 additional flights, including connections to Heraklion in Greece and Gran Canaria in Spain.
Lufthansa also announced the most popular destinations for its guests during this Easter period and the upcoming summer. Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Cyprus were identified as being the most popular. Meanwhile, city breaks to Barcelona, London, Rome, Oslo and Athens were also highlighted as popular trips for spring and summer. The company said that the number of connections to these and other cities has doubled when compared to last year.
