PALLADIUM HOTEL GROUP ANNOUNCES RENEWED CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY
The Palladium Hotel Group has announced developments regarding its corporate social responsibility policy, with the appointment of new corporate senior director of social responsibility Gloria Juste.
Juste will reportedly have the task of promoting the hotel chain’s new corporate social responsibility policy, as well as monitoring ongoing measures and other new projects.
Palladium Hotel Group’s corporate social responsibility committee is overseen by the company’s President and management committee. The Group will reportedly cast its focus towards sustainability regarding the environment and circular economy, while casting a renewed focus on the “people” involved in hospitality.
A press release states Juste will prioritise an advanced support system for the hotel chain’s staff of approximately 13,000 in six countries across Europe and America. The corporate senior director of social responsibility has a Law Degree from the University of Pontificia de Comillas, and went on to complete a master’s degree in Fiscal and Tax Law at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues. It has been said that Juste’s experience with volunteers in Spain led her to launch the Mano Amiga Foundation, which aids vulnerable families and communities.
“I assume this role with great enthusiasm and excitement to join this business group which is full of growth and whose commitment to the environment and society has increased over the years. The group’s vision focuses on developing initiatives with local communities working hand-in-hand, supporting and accompanying the people who make them,” said Juste.
“I appreciate the trust placed in me to lead this project. We will work to design and manage initiatives that support the people who are part of the Palladium Hotel Group and the communities where we operate. We seek to create the necessary impact and transformation in our environment, always under our sustainability criteria.”
The Palladium Hotel Group has said it has developed its corporate social responsibility efforts over the course of 50 years, with a focus on three areas: social commitment, the environment and the circular economy.

“In accordance with one of our premises as a group of always putting people at the centre, we will implement projects specifically focused on increasing the real positive impact on our collaborators, their family environment and the local communities of the destinations in which we operate. Our objective is to contribute our grain of sand to improve the future prospects of those who are closest to us.”
How Palladium Hotel Group follows the pillars of its corporate social responsibility policy
The hotel chain has mentioned that social commitment, circular economy and the environment are the three pillars of its corporate social responsibility policy.
Regarding social commitment, Palladium Hotel Group has said it focuses on both external and internal social responsibility.
Commitments regarding social impact include the company’s equality plan, along with its signing of the UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for tourism. The company also has Top Employer certification, given for efforts in Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
The hotel chain has also highlighted its efforts with the Integra Foundation, which aims to aid vulnerable people find employment.
The company’s environmental efforts centre around awareness, sustainability and climate change. The hotel group has executed a policy to reduce the use of single-use plastics, as well as reducing the use of paper in certain procedures. Furthermore, the company’s use of renewable energy does not go unnoticed, with measures introduced to reduce consumption and use energy that originates from renewable sources. The company claims that 100% of its energy consumption in Spain originates from renewable sources, with an objective to reach 50% of global consumption in Palladium Hotel Group’s six countries of operation.
