Marseille: Where Provence meets the sea
Founded around 600 BC by Greek settlers from Phocaea, Marseille, the sun-drenched capital of Provence, is France’s oldest and second-largest city, where 2,600 years of history meet a restless creative spirit. Shaped by the sea ever since, it boasts 57 kilometres of coastline and basks in roughly 300 days of sunshine, making it a city that lives outdoors, all year round.

Back on the mainland, Le Corbusier’s Cité radieuse, a UNESCO World Heritage site, stands as a modernist marvel, while the Mucem and the Cosquer Méditerranée add further depth to a cultural landscape as layered as the city itself.
This blend of old and new has earned Marseille global acclaim for its cuisine, fashion, art, and music. Condé Nast Traveller recently named it a must-see destination for 2025, and with China Eastern Airlines’ new direct Shanghai–Marseille route marking 60 years of France–China relations, this Mediterranean jewel has never been closer.

马赛：当普罗旺斯遇见地中海

在壮丽的海岸线上，传奇的伊夫城堡（Château d’If）静静矗立。这座历史建筑因《基督山伯爵》而广为人知，至今仍是马赛的重要文化地标之一。
城市内部同样呈现出丰富的文化层次。勒·柯布西耶设计的“光辉城市”（Cité radieuse）作为世界遗产，展现了现代主义建筑的代表性风格；欧洲与地中海文明博物馆（Mucem）以及科斯凯地中海洞穴馆（Cosquer Méditerranée），则进一步丰富了这座城市层次多元的文化版图。
历史与当代的交融，使马赛在美食、时尚、艺术与音乐等多个领域持续获得关注。《悦游》（Condé Nast Traveller）近期将其评为“2025年值得到访的目的地”之一。
