ITB CHINA 2021 – BACK AS A PHYSICAL EVENT

ITB China has confirmed a physical edition of the show will take place next November in Shanghai.

ITB China management has issued an official statement, saying it feels it is ready to play host for a physical (hybrid) edition of the show from November 24 to 26.

The decision was made as tourism within China has already bounced back to pre-pandemic levels. ITB China management believes that the positive development of travel markets and vaccine promotion in China and around the world are giving high expectations for the return of international travel.

The travel show thus aims to lead in this recovery by delivering an innovative hybrid showcase for travel products as well as being an important B2B meeting place. In parallel to the physical show at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, an extended virtual version will run from November 8 to December 31 providing additional networking opportunities.

For David Axiotis, General Manager of ITB China, “The combination of a physical event and a virtual platform is indispensable and offers our customers maximum planning security. ITB China 2021 will support global travel companies and suppliers with comprehensive and flexible solutions – both offline and online – to re-engage the Chinese market and actively boost the recovery of the industry”.

Physical exhibitors will benefit from on-site pre-scheduled appointments and a complimentary virtual booth package. Virtual exhibitors will enjoy a comprehensive digital presence including options to get in touch with high quality buyers and travel professionals.
