Turkish Airlines: Excellence and innovation on display at ITB Berlin 2024
From March 2024, Turkish Airlines will fly three times a week from İstanbul to Melbourne.
After many months of negotiations with the Australian Ministry of Transport, Turkish Airlines has been granted up to 35 flights per week with the possibility to immediately provide 21 frequencies to Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
On 1st March 2024, Turkish Airlines is launching three weekly frequencies to Melbourne, Australia’s second largest metropolis. Melbourne is the carrier’s 346th destination in a network of 130 countries. With its flights relayed via Singapore, the carrier is the only one from Europe to land in the capital of the State of Victoria. By flying thousands of passengers on the İstanbul-Melbourne route annually, the airline will contribute to trade and tourism volumes of both countries.
The new route to Australia is also an opportunity for Turkish Airlines to introduce its hallmark “Turkish Airlines Red” colour. The Turkish Airlines Red has officially been launched in partnership with Pantone Color Institute, the global colour authority.
Speaking on its collaboration with Pantone, Turkish Airlines SVP, Communications Rafet Fatih Özgür stated: “Our collaboration with Pantone Color Institute to create ‘Turkish Airlines Red’ marks a significant milestone in our brand’s evolution. This distinct colour highlights our visual identity and celebrates our expanding global footprint with the addition of Australia to our route network. It is a testament to our ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in connecting the world.”
