Curaçao displays strong growth and new accommodation offers at ITB Berlin 2024

For the first time in its history, Curaçao surpassed half a million stay-over visitors last year.

The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) announced a historic milestone in tourism in November 2023, surpassing
half a million stay-over visitors for the first time in history. Curaçao marks 2023 as its record-breaking year,
welcoming a total of 582,409 stay-over visitor arrivals, 19% growth over 2022. The trend continued in January 2024, up 27% compared to January 2023.

Curaçao is quickly evolving and growing as one of the Caribbean’s most diverse and dynamic destinations. At ITB Berlin, the destination is promoting a “Best of Both Worlds” experience, encompassing city and countryside, land and sea, luxury and adventure, history and modernity as well as culinary experiences.

A string of new hotels are also boosting accommodation capacities. Opened last December, the Rif at Mangrove Beach is a resort ideal for families with its water park near Willemstad. Marriott Courtyard Curaçao is also opening its doors in Willemstad this quarter, offering a fitness centre, an outdoor pool and a restaurant. Opening this year, the Parasasa Hotel Curaçao will be managed by the CHTTC Foundation. It will be a learning hotel for Hospitality Management students and offer them the opportunity to gain practical experience in a hybrid learning environment.
