Chile at ITB Berlin 2024: “nature, rich culture and commitment to sustainability”
Chile has a strong presence at ITB Berlin this year with a total of 24 partners including 5 accommodation providers, 16 inbound agencies, 2 cruise operators and 1 car rental company.
For the Chilean Secretary of State for Tourism, Verónica Pardo, “Chile takes part in ITB Berlin 2024 to continue positioning itself to international markets, especially to the German travel trade. Chile’s popularity is reflected in recent international awards: We were recognised as the best green destination by the WTA (World Travel Awards) and named among the best destinations for 2024 by international media such as National Geographic, New York Times and Lonely Planet. Chile particularly impresses with the beauty of its nature, rich culture and commitment to sustainability.”
The European market is a priority in Chile promotion as a tourist destination, specifically Spain, Germany, France and the UK, making participation in international travel fairs an important strategy. Last year, Chile welcomed 396,012 visitors from Europe, 60,052 of them from Germany.
Chile is once again highlighting its spectacular natural landscapes perfect for adventure travellers, as well as its skies, some of the clearest in the southern hemisphere, which foster astrotourism.
