Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) continues to grow with the addition of 22 new properties to its collection, including seven new openings in 2023.
Included in this expansion are four responsible and sustainable luxury hotels now part of SLH’s Considerate Collection, which currently encompasses 54 hotels.
These additions reflect the individuality and tastes of their guests, aligning with SLH’s “Hotels as Characterful as You” campaign and expanding the company’s impressive portfolio to 540 hotels. With this campaign and the new additions, SLH invites travelers to discover the charm and unique character of their hotels.
Exciting Openings and Luxury Redefined
Among the new properties, standouts include Seda Club Hotel, with its deep historical roots and opulent design, located on Granada’s historic Plaza de la Trinidad in Spain; The sophisticated alpine chalet, Maribel in Sierra Nevada, Spain; The Lodge Mallorca, an adults-only rural getaway nestled within a private nature reserve in the heart of the UNESCO-protected Sierra de Tramuntana; and The Anam Mui Ne in Vietnam that combines old-world Indochinese charm with modern luxury. Additionally, Africa saw the debut of Nobu Hospitality with the Nobu Hotel Marrakech, showcasing modern Japanese minimalism in the heart of Marrakech’s vibrant cultural center.
Portuguese Heritage and Spiritual Wellness
The Rebello in Porto, Portugal, opened in June 2023, boasting a daring renovation of several warehouses on the banks of the Douro River. It merges innovation with heritage, offering a mix of hotel rooms and residential apartments. In contrast, the Gdas Bali Health and Wellness Resort in Ubud Bali, Indonesia, offers breathtaking views of rice paddies and Hindu shrines, promising guests wellness programs based on the Balinese Tri Hita Karana concept, deeply rooted in Hindu traditions.
