Holidays.ch specialises in dynamic package holidays for seamless, flexible and tech-driven travel. Martin Meux talks about travellers’ priorities, changes in behaviour and the impact of technology.
Do you have any specific markets or experiences you are focusing on this year at ITB Berlin?
At ITB Berlin, we are sharpening our focus on the DACH (Germany-Austria-Switzerland) source market while exploring new opportunities for long-haul travel in cooperation with Condor Airlines. Travellers today want more than just a trip. They are after unique, immersive and customisable experiences. We are constantly looking for partners who share our vision of offering high-quality travel via technology-driven and highly personalised travel solutions.
What are some of the main priorities of travellers today? How is Holidays.ch working to meet these expectations?
Flexibility, personalisation and sustainability are key. Travellers expect hassle-free bookings, real-time customisation and added value. At holidays.ch, we have a technology-led mindset. We are constantly refining our digital tools and optimising the dynamic packaging process to improve the customer experience. Sustainable travel choices and flexible insurance options are also integrated into our approach.
How do you stand out on the market and build loyalty among your customers? How does this influence your choices when deciding what destinations and businesses to work with?
We are characterised by innovation, strong B2B partnerships and a strong customer focus. Our collaboration with Condor under the Condor Holidays brand ensures top prices, maximum flexibility and high standards. With smooth booking processes and excellent customer support, we build trust and long-term relationships. We also carefully select destinations and partners that match our quality commitment.
What are some of the challenges you’ve been facing in recent years? How are you working to overcome them?
Like the entire industry, we have faced pandemic-related disruptions, economic shifts and changing traveller expectations. The key for us? Agility and adaptability. We have invested in technology, expanded our offerings and strengthened key partnerships to stay ahead and resilient in a rapidly changing market.
AI-driven personalisation, sustainable travel and hybrid leisure-business trips are trends that will continue to gain momentum.
What are some of your predictions for the next few years in the tourism industry?
AI-driven personalisation, sustainable travel and hybrid leisure-business trips are trends that will continue to gain momentum. Travellers want meaningful, curated experiences rather than one-size-fits-all packages. Personalised services and added value will play an even bigger role in customer retention.
How long have you been coming to ITB Berlin? Why is it an important event for your business?
I have been attending ITB Berlin since 2010 and even co-organised the VIR Innovation Days with ITB for several years. This show is not just a trade fair – it’s where the industry comes together to exchange ideas, build partnerships and think about the future. For me, it feels like a class reunion – everyone knows each other. ITB Berlin is a great place to make contacts and get inspired.
