German playwright Bertholt Brecht would have found it inhumane “to be put in the ground without having savoured a mouthful of good meat”. He would certainly have been happy at Brecht’s steakhouse on the Spree.
The restaurant on Schiffbauerdamm, in the direct neighbourhood of the playwright’s former place of work, the Berliner Ensemble, stands for the highest quality. Whether prime cuts, dry-aged steaks, fillets or burger patties, the meat comes from trustworthy suppliers the restaurant has worked with for many years, such as the Irish premium beef from Kildare Heritage Town.
But you don’t have to be a carnivore to appreciate the restaurant, there is also a wide range of dishes for vegetarians and seafood lovers including vegan duck breast, tender salmon fillets and tasty salads.
The restaurant has 100 seats and groups are very welcome.
