From panels to parties: ITB Berlin 2025 shines a spotlight on LGBTQ+ tourism
At ITB Berlin 2025, the LGBTQ+ Tourism Pavilion will make a vibrant return to Hall 4.1, offering an expanded and dynamic programme throughout the show. With a larger space and array of new exhibitors, this year’s pavilion highlights the growing importance of the LGBTQ+ tourism market.
Visitors can explore an exciting lineup of events, including the Gender Equality Award ceremony, insightful panel discussions, and presentations at the Educational Hub. New exhibitors such as Il Capri Hotel (Italy), REDD Red Española de Destinos por la Diversidad (Spain), ACE Hotel Kyoto (Japan), and Visit Florida Keys will join long-standing partners like IGLTA, Munich Tourism, and the Region of Valencia.
One of the highlights will be the ITB Diversity Gala on the evening of 6 March at the Ritz Carlton. This prestigious event celebrates diversity, equality, and inclusion within the tourism industry. Sponsored by Queer Destinations, Las Vegas CVA, Experience Kissimmee, Marriott, and TOMONTOUR, the gala will also feature a silent auction benefiting the IGLTA Foundation. The evening will culminate in the presentation of the ITB LGBTQ+ Pioneer Award to Shiho Ikeuchi (ACE Hotel Kyoto, Japan) and the ITB LGBTQ+ Tourism Award to Vacaya Cruises (USA). In cooperation with A3M Global Monitoring and Diversity Tourism, ITB Berlin is for the first time conducting a survey on the experiences and perceptions of LGBTQ+ travellers. The survey aims to shed light on the risks and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ travellers in various countries, especially with regard to the public perception of their relationships or participation in LGBTQ+ events. With its strong emphasis on education, networking, and celebration, the LGBTQ+ Tourism Pavilion at ITB Berlin 2025 promises to be an inspiring space for travel professionals and advocates of diversity.
