Experience Korean Culture at ITB Berlin NOW

ITB trade visitors and media can discover a huge array of cultural content at the Korea Tourism Organisation’s ITB Brand Card and Café.

The combination of traditional culture, modern lifestyle and technology is one of the highlights for tourists visiting Korea. Travellers can always find something suiting their personal interests, from a walk in one of Seoul’s five royal palaces to a shopping spree at night. Indeed, Korean culture has seen a constant increase in popularity, particularly thanks to Korean Hansik cuisine, K-Pop and Korean TV dramas.

During Covid-19 times and home quarantine, in 2020, the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) provided several possibilities to experience Korea’s traditional and modern culture. In 2021, they are continuing to stimulate interest in the nation until people can travel internationally again. For the German speaking market, KTO’s Frankfurt office has  organised the online event entitled “Feel Korea Now” as well as a K-Pop cover dance contest on its Instagram channel.

And this year at ITB Berlin NOW,  just as in previous years, visitors are able to have live experiences via the KTO Brand card. KTO’s Frankfurt office has an exhibitor presentation on March 12, at 10am, and the organisation will showcase the latest developments for international travel to Korea. They will also be welcoming visitors to their digital café, where topics can be discussed in detail, and tips can be given for selling Korea as a safe and exciting travel destination. A special KTO Frankfurt highlight will be an online exhibition at Korea’s Brand Card, which will also be promoted for B2C clients on the Instagram channel @koreatourismus. Visitors can experience Korea in VR, find online brochures and take part in several events.
