CROATIA LAUNCHES NEW CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE TOURISM HOTSPOTS TO 14 EUROPEAN MARKETS

The Croatian National Tourist Board (CNTB) has launched its brand new tourism campaign under the tagline: “Your Life, Your Time, Your Experience”, which aims to encourage foreign travellers to visit Croatia during the upcoming summer months.

The campaign, which will be active until the end of July, is being implemented in 14 European countries: Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Hungary, France, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Belgium.

Speaking about the new campaign Croatian Tourist Board director, Kristjan Staničić, said: “Activities within the campaign are being carried out on the most popular TV channels, portals and newspapers in each market, but also via social networks, outdoor advertising on billboards, digital panels and public transport.”

Promoting Croatia’s top tourist attractions

For the purpose of this campaign, 14 special promotional videos lasting 30 seconds have been created for advertising on online channels. Tourist attractions and highlights advertised through the campaign have been specially adjusted to suit the preferences of each individual market.

As an example, in addition to traditional sun and sea holidays, Croatia’s culture and nautical tourism will be emphasised to the French market, nature and active holidays in Poland, camping in the Netherlands, eno-gastronomy and nautical tourism in Sweden, etc.

A special sustainability label – Croatia, naturally yours – will be highlighted throughout the campaign. The shape of the logo represents the rings on the tree, i.e. the harmony and interweaving of blue and green Croatia through sustainable tourism.

“I believe that this campaign will further stimulate the interest of tourists to choose Croatia as their ideal travel destination in the coming months,” said Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac. “Unique promotional visuals were created for each market, where in addition to the already known offer, we want to further highlight all the additional authentic products and experiences of the entire destination – from gastronomic delights to local customs and cultural heritage.”

Croatian authorities are hoping for a very good summer season. In the first four months of 2022, 1.5 million tourist arrivals and 4.4 million nights spent were recorded in Croatia, which was a million more tourist arrivals as compared to the same period of 2021.

Foreign tourists generated 1.0 million arrivals and 3.3 million nights in the first four months of 2022. He added that compared to previous years, there was a significant increase in rotation in the segment of low cost flights – 17″% more than the record 2019.

The largest number of flights are due from Zagreb and Split (about 10,000 rotations), and the largest increase in the number of rotations compared to 2019 is expected in Zadar (+63%) and Rijeka (+8%).
