BAHRAIN INVADED BY… DUCKS

A new Amphibious Duck Tour in Bahrain provides a fun way to discover the destination.

Ducks are now plying Bahrain waters and streets. Nothing to do with the animal, but a new attraction for visitors of the small Gulf kingdom. The first Amphibious Duck Tours in Bahrain give an opportunity for locals as well as travellers to have a brand new experience of the island state.

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) launched the Duck Tours last May with two daily trips at 10.00 am and 4.00 pm, passing through several landmarks surrounding the Financial Harbour on a one-hour journey, travelling 7km on land and 2.5 km on sea. Tours also include guides who provide a presentation on some of the tourism and commercial sites around Bahrain.

At the product’s launching, BTEA Chief Executive Officer, Dr Nasser Ali Qaedi, stated that the Duck Tour project is part of a number of tourism initiatives that are aimed to provide different experiences for tourists in Bahrain.

“The Duck tour is a unique experience developed by BTEA and we plan to develop the route of trips to include other areas in Bahrain. This is based on the success of similar tours in other countries such as the United States of America, Singapore, and others. We expect this experience to be very popular among tourists, visitors, and even citizens and residents who want to try something new and enjoyable,” Dr Qaedi added. Bahrain Amphibious Duck Tours can be booked on the company’s app.
