LARIO HOTELS EXPANDS OUTSIDE LAKE COMO WITH NEW LUXURY RESORT IN VERONA

Italian hospitality group, Lario Hotels, is expanding outside of its home base of Lake Como with the launch of a new, luxury hotel in Verona.

Vista Palazzo Verona is located within the medieval Centro Storico area of the city offering 13 suites and three rooms with decadent tubs in every bathroom.

The boutique hotel is the latest addition to the Lario Hotels portfolio which includes Lake Como’s Vista Palazzo Lago di Como, Villa Flori, Posta Design and Terminus.

Luxury facilities are housed within the 19th century mansion which is the first five star hotel within the city – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These include a library, a wine tasting salon, a gym, an indoor swimming pool, a roof top terrace and penthouse restaurant and bar. The hotel also features a 538 sq ft spa offering private wellness experiences.

Vista Palazzo Verona claims to be a worldwide first for hotels, with an ancient Roman well embedded within a wall of its swimming pool. It was discovered during renovation works prior to Lario Hotel’s acquisition, when it was being used as a 32-room hotel.

Guests can also enjoy Italian cuisine at the hotel’s Sottovoce restaurant, made from locally sourced ingredients. For alfresco dining, visitors can make their way up to the rooftop terrace and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

The hotel interiors offer an elegant mix of period and modern decor designed by Milan-based company Maurizio Maggi Studio Arte. its marquetry floors and fine Italian linens are said to “ooze style” while its marble surfaces were sourced from nearby quarries.

Staff are on hand to arrange bespoke experiences for guests such as exploring Verona, wine tasting tours, boating on Lake Garda, and visiting nearby Venice.
